Clearfile Metadata Remover

Privacy policy

Effective October 22, 2026. Publisher: Mathis Grosjean. Contact: support@pepitacards.com.

Clearfile processes the file you choose and the embedded metadata necessary to remove supported optional fields. Reports contain field names, not their values. We do not use files to train AI models, sell file contents, or create advertising profiles.

Processing runs on our Fly.io service in the Paris region. Fly.io provides hosting and receives data required to operate it. When used inside ChatGPT, OpenAI separately handles uploads and conversations under its own policies.

Original uploads are deleted after processing finishes or fails. Cleaned files and field-name reports expire after 15 minutes. Anyone holding the unpredictable download link can access that copy until expiry. You can delete it sooner using the delete action. Restarts can remove temporary copies earlier.

Temporary in-memory request counters use network identifiers to limit abuse for one minute. We do not enable application access logs containing filenames, contents, metadata values, or signed download URLs. Hosting infrastructure may process operational network information under its own retention policy.

When operational analytics is enabled, we send PostHog (US hosting) one anonymous event per handled tool or cleaning operation: operation, web/MCP channel, success or error category, duration, file-format category, and verification status. Events use a new unrelated identifier for each operation and do not create person profiles. We do not send files, filenames, file identifiers, URLs, IP addresses, metadata values, or raw error messages to analytics. Counts describe operations, not people.

Do not upload payment-card data, protected health information, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, or other access credentials. The service is intended for ordinary photos, documents, and videos you are authorized to process. Contact support for privacy questions or requests.
